Over the past two weeks we have been suspended in a state of grief. We have been thrust back in time to when we first witnessed the brutality of unchecked authority. We have been reading and watching and listening. Radiant, spirited, smiling, sweet, beloved black americans are enduring a constant state of stress and insecurity imposed by outside forces. When they leave the comfort of their homes, they are exposed, navigating a city where they feel at any moment, their life could be altered or ended by another human being, solely for the color of their skin. Our hearts are exhausted and our adrenaline is running high, we are part of this movement. We are devoted to the well being of black americans.
We want change. We want accountability. We want justice. We want unity.
The revolution will not be televised.
