Hi! I’m Peggy, your hostess/server/busser/cashier. First of all, I’d like to say that we’re still open. I can’t tell you how many people have told me that they wish we didn’t have to sell the building, that we could keep going. Well, there’s only two of us. We’re in our seventies so no, we can’t. Everyone tells me how wonderful the food is and how much they love the atmosphere. However, lately I’ve been sitting in the cafe reading my book and wondering where all the people that wish we could stay open are. I love it when you come in. I love serving you. I’m very grateful for our regulars and I’ve tried to learn your names and your “usual “. I get Sunday and Monday off and by Tuesday I’m anxious to come see all of you again. I love you all and hope that you’ll come see me soon.

Fall has finally arrived! This cool weather is such a relief from the heat we’ve had this summer.

It’s going to be a beautiful week to take a drive out to the country and have lunch at the MorningStar Café. This will be a great time for our delicious soups (cream of potato with bacon and stuffed pepper) followed by a slice of raspberry/blackberry pie or peach pie!

Tomorrow we will be closing early. Our last order will be at 12:30 and we will close sharp at 1 o’clock. We have an early showing and we have to prepare for that.
