Hello!
I have a very important update for those of you who regularly come in for our “Tuesday Burger,” our $2.22 value burger. We have held off on making this change since March because we truly hoped things would change. Unfortunately, at this point, we’re seeing that they haven’t and the situation likely won’t for some time.
We are a local, family-owned business. As owners, we work every single day. Working every single day, means being actually present in the mall to serve our customers. For the past 3 years, our “days off” have basically been the days the mall is closed due to holidays or terrible weather. This year, for the first time ever, we took 4 days off together to spend time with our children because they needed it more than us to feel our presence.
With all of that being said, we do our absolute best to keep our prices affordable. We’re a family of 5 ourselves, and we know how hard it can be to go out to eat when prices keep going up. That’s a huge part of why we created the Tuesday Burger in the first place despite everyone’s criticism of not being able to make money off a $2 burger— we wanted to give people the opportunity to get a real beef burger, cooked fresh, at a price that was actually affordable. We are humans and we are here every day first hand talking to people, seeing people come in for affordable food so we tried so very hard to push this as long as we could.
Unfortunately, we have continued to face increases in our costs from our vendors, and we’ve reached a point where we can no longer keep the Tuesday Burger at $2.22. We’ve had to make the unfortunate decision to raise the Tuesday Burger price to $3.49.
The toppings that have always been included — lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and raw onions — will remain FREE with the Tuesday Burger.
This decision did not come easily for me. Over this past year, I’ve grown close to so many families who have shared with us that our $2.22 burger has given them an opportunity to feed their kids on nights when things are tight at home. And to all of the mall employees who come see us every day, we tried our hardest to hold this price for you guys too. We know that when you’re working an 11 AM–8 PM shift, being able to grab a couple $2.22 burger instead of spending $10–$15 in the food court made a real difference.
We truly hope you’ll continue to come visit us and trust us to provide you with quality food at a price that we can sustainably offer. We’re still here. We’re still working every day. And we’re still going to do everything we can to keep giving our community great food at a fair price.
