It's Wednesday and we are OPEN from 11a-7p today! We are grateful to still be here and appreciate the support you show.
And time after time it shows up right on time. How many places go to do a gift card special and instead agree to donate four $15 gift cards for a special cause while calling the bank saying we should be able to cover things by the end of the day and thanks for their patience while we recover. And while that's all going on there happens to be a church group purchasing several gift cards so they can further donate? Look..I'm just saying thank you for having our backs. Even forces beyond us. We are still climbing the mountain. Thank you for giving us hope!

It's Tuesday and we are OPEN from 11a-7p today!
Those days being closed got us behind just a bit so we figued we would do a little gift card discount today!
So even if you're not in the mood for one of our delicious sliders, then you can give us a hand in a major way by stopping in for a Gift Card today!
And for today we are doing 10% off gift cards of up to $500! This really helps for parties and even future cater orders!
If you are a linemen or part of a tree crew that lives in Salina or still in the neighboring areas then ask about a different discount just for you! Really thank you for getting us all back out there and we know no one was intentionally left out.
We are also still very short staffed and looking to hire full or part time. We thank people for being patient on times our waits get longer than we want. We will find the right pieces before you know it!
So if you're in the area or just want to give us a little help to catch back up, come get a Gift Card today!
Side note it was this or a GoFundMe or ask someone from our community for a debt consolidation loan lol. We usually choose doing gift card promos so here we are!

When we were without power for two days, we were in and out keeping an eye on our products. The hope was power would come back on Monday evening into Tuesday and could save most of it.
It did not turn back on.
When the power never turned on Tuesday, we began further preparations of moving items to keep safe, discarding items, and donating some. We still hoped the power would come back on at some point Tuesday evening or into Wednesday.
It did not.
At this point, we already had our plans of what to do if the power did not come back on because were going to have to trash a few things by Thursday/Friday. We began reaching out to folks who could use items and use them up quickly.
The buns and a few other items were accepted at the Rescue Mission. They were excited to get the 6 cases of slider buns and put them to use. And that was the plan.
However, the Salvation Army had been giving away free lunches at Tony's Pizza Event Center. After we had dropped the buns off, the Salvation Army called up the Rescue Mission to see if they had anything that could help with these free meals. The timing was great. The Mission responded that they just happen to get over 6 cases of sliders buns that could help.
So the Salvation Army went out and grabbed those buns. And they used those buns to help serve sloppy joe's to over 350 people in our community.
I mean...how cool is that??
A gentleman from the Salvation Army came down on Friday just to tell us this and thank us for helping them get that final day of free meals completed.
I haven't high-fived a stranger in a while, but he got a solid one from me lol.
It's just amazing how doing one thing led to another. I think it's really cool that we inadvertently helped feed over 300 people.

It's Monday and we are OPEN from 11a-7p today and back with a new special! And this special just may be on our upcoming menu changes. We are going to lose two sliders and going to ad the French Dip Slider. This is essentially us trying a new slider to fit along with that! We called it the patty melt ar first but went with the Bacon -n- Havarti Melt, and it's tastes exactly how it looks and sounds! This may become a very popular slider here at Bravos so come check one out today at 1400 E Iron in Salina!

We have power and will be OPEN today! There is a lot to get caught up on so we probably will push back our open time to 1230/1 today!
Yesterday, we cleared out the prepped items, kept items that we could still use and then donated the rest to the Rescue Missue.
We did not anticipate a second day with the power being out so the plan was to hope the power would be restored by Tuesday evening. Since, it was lost, there was no way we could save or even consciously give away what the health department deems as "hazardous food." These are foods that get cut, cooked, and prepared for use. You can mark them as a 7-Day hold time as long as they are properly stored. Over 70ยฐ cooler temps for two days does not fit that description so we had to toss a lot. Again, we didn't anticipate a 2nd day of power so we were hoping for the best here and that just didn't work out.
We did go in Tuesday afternoon and took out many items and found new coolers for them just in case the power didn't come on, so we were doing our best to prepare for the worst.
It's funny because we looked around Monday talking excitingly about how stocked and ready to rock for the week we were lol.
Welp, here we are and on to getting ready to put it all behind us.
And the Mission was an awesome suggestion because they feed many and it's open to the public. They also have a small food budget so they rely on donations such as this. The kitchen manager said chick-fil-a donates the most so he's going to be serving up little chicken sandwiches lol
Maybe I should switch to video posts so these are quicker lol but hey we are fortunate to be here and we thank you for the opportunity to continue. We missed two days of revenue and just ready to get back to making it right again.

Power is still out on this side of town.

We really hate to inform you that we will be closed today (6-10-26) due to no power. I've always had a food truck concept that if we had a trailer.. but knowing me I'd probably post up somewhere and start giving out free food. And the reason is simple. It's not always about the money. This is stuff that will be trashed if it doesn't get used so why not give it to those who could use it? That's my perspective on the bigger picture.

However, we do not have a food trailer or truck or cart or power to operate our business at 1400 E Iron. And for those who need each day to survive I can't even begin to explain how this will impact us.

We've been in tough spots before and the debt troubles have been pretty open and public. I have not been able to secure any type of sba or commercial or even personal loan to consolidate the high monthly debt. The situation resolves itself with time and consistency. With time those high amounts will drop off and we will be able to operate and function with stability.

I would hate to say this would be a good time to just call it a day. My personal life and demands for my two youngest sons are extremely high. The balance between the two, or lack of, over the yesrs have been devastating to my mental state. Always trying to protect my character against others has been devastating to my mental state. This here is all I've been wanting to do is find my balance so I can find some peace. So this would be a good time to call it quits and just close. But we can't. We won't. We are so close to getting it to where it needs to be. But this is how it feels ya know. When you try and see the progress only to continue to be held back by things out of your control.

We just have to take a breath and remember what got us into our 7th year. We will be back as soon as our power is back on. We know that debt assistance help isn't coming and we have to work our way out of that. We accepted that and won't give up on this awesome place, because we love it just as much as you do.

When the restaurant phone line is busy, the calls go directly to me. Same goes if there is no power.

And my phone is blowing up lol.

It sounds like we would have been busy today! This means a lot to me even though we are closed. I've always said the only things that would slow us down would be ourselves or the weather. And you learn as you go that you can only fix the things that are in your control. Mother nature is not.

Even though we are closed today you guys continue to show that you were about to show up. That means the most.

And because of that we will continue to work on the things we can control. Continue to be the best we can be to provide you a unique and completely authentic experience that you can only find here at Bravos. Thank you very much and hoping to be back at it tomorrow!
