As some of you guys may know my family and I moved to bend about 3 years ago.. today we've got a lot of phone calls from people checking in on us. We have two sons one of which is 11 years old and the other that's 16. There was a massive tragedy today that happened just right down the road from my son's elementary School (not his elementary School). Probably only about 6 or 8 blocks away. There were both adults and children that were taken from us. I can't imagine the emotions that the families have experienced this loss are going through at this moment. When I got our first phone call from the schools and Friends. I was on my way across town on the way to the bank. We were informed that our youngest son's school had been locked down. I had seen a massive gathering of first responders just passed my son's school on my way to the bank but didn't know exactly what was going on. as the phone calls and inquiries kept coming in I got more and more worried. And even after finding out that our son was safe it started to dawn on me that somebody else may not be. The sadness that came over me was pretty heavy. The Thought that there's a parent, a grandparents, a friend or even a neighbor that's had someone close taken away from them is heartbreaking. Hold your children close to you tonight, call someone you love. I know there's a lot of people out there that want to help... Heck I don't even know how to help I just hope that the people that are affected by all of this understand that there's people that care and that are thinking of them. ❤️
