Everyone keeps saying "stop trying to make the Kentucky Hot Brown happen. It isn't going to happen."

Unrelated, on the specials board this week is The Oregon Hot Bleu.. It's one of my southern fried chicken thighs topped with tomatoes, bacon, and a blue cheese mornay sauce torched to a bubbly hot bro.. blue I mean. All on toasted ciabatta and served with fries. It's good.. it's real good.

Well I guess we serve chicken wings now. Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in.

Back permanently by popular demand.. Tommy Want Wingy. Funny story about these wings. I first won Best Wings in the Willamette Valley back in '22 and I was only doing boneless. This year they were only available as a special. There's a valuable lesson or a hilarious joke in there somewhere. Anyway.. a win is a win 😂

I didn't steal anything, ok?? They lost my certificates so I posed with someone else's🤣 but I did win Best Chicken Wings again, so it all makes sense.

We also came in 2nd for Downtown Salem Restaurant and Sandwiches! Thanks for voting for us, and for your continued support. I'm so grateful and can't wait to see where we're at this time next year!

We're rolling with a tight crew today and in an attempt to not overwhelm anyone, we're running a reduced menu. Happy Summer and have a super fun Make Music Day 2026. We have performances most of the day, hope to see you downtown!

Beat the heat with a Raspberry Lemonade Shandy featuring Santiambrewingco Premium Ultra Lager and my housemade raspberry lemonade! It's a perfect summer drink, and paired with an order of Berry White Beignets!? Fuget about it. $8 while supplies last!

Summa summa summa time... Summer Time!! New seasonal beignets on board!

Strawberry Fields is topped with freeze dried Strawberry powder and housemade milk chocolate ganache.

Phyllis Nefler says it's cookie time.. these beignets are topped with white chocolate ganache and crushed oreos.

Exciting News! We're very close to securing our liquor license and our own Corbyn McCleve has been working hard for months on our cocktail menu. As you can see, he's his generation's Brian Flanagan.

So in order for this to be a smooth transition, we'll be closed the next several Tuesdays for training and menu development. We can't wait to share what he's created!

Mother's Day. The Mother of All Brunch Days.

This Sunday we'll of course be serving our weekly brunch staples: Chicken and Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, Monte Cristos, and Beignets for Days.. but we've got some specials here... in order.

Scratch-Made Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches with one of our whopping southern fried chicken thighs and bacon, smothered in butter and Oregon honey.

Black Forest Stuffed French Toast.. deep fried French Toast filled with mascarpone and kirsch soaked sour cherry. Topped with dark cocoa, kirsch whip and a fresh local cherry. Covered with too many chocolate shavings.

Twice cooked black and white mocha waffles.. this is a fun one🙂 my buttermilk waffles grilled then deep fried to prevent the thing from getting soggy.. the waffle acts like a hundred little cups filled with sweet espresso. Then it's topped with house made white chocolate mousse, chocolate shavings, and espresso beans. It's fantastic.

This Mothers Day we'll be open from 9am-2pm because I'm a mother and my geode must be acknowledged.

No reservations, first come first serve!! Can't wait to see you this Sunday!
