If you are ever visiting A.C. Gilbert's Discovery Village and should happen to hear a DUCK QUAKING, head over to the Little Gem for a chance to claim a free drink

Keeping your coffee ground to a desirable coarseness is particularly challenging to baristas in the Pacific Northwest, slight changes in the temperature and humidity can quickly make your perfect shot undesirable and in need of tweaking.

At Latte Play's Little Gem Cafe, as a sanity check during quieter times, we'll pull a shot to see how the grind is going and adjust it if it's off. IF IT'S GOOD we don't want it to go to waste so we'll make a random drink with it and give it to the first person who hears the duck call and comes to claim it.

If you are on the playground and hear the duck quaking, please respect the Discovery Village rules, NO RUNNING and NO PUSHING AND SHOVING!

Preschool First Thursdays are a great way for preschoolers to explore the Village while developing their kindergarten readiness skills. Stories, scavenger hunts, and crafts are all part of these exciting mornings. September’s First Thursday will be all about heroes! Free with admission.
