The Ball Joint is a unique food concept that started by making meatballs for a party and morhped into a "balls of all kinds" idea that now operates in beautiful St. The idea was born in the mind of Bryan Fyock after a New Year's Eve party in 2009, where Bryan mimicked his great-grandmother's recipe for scratch-made, Italian style meatballs. For the next few years, Bryan developed the idea, and tes

ted it through pop-up events, ultimately finding that the concept was truly exciting and viable. The Ball Joint officially launched in 2014 as a fully operational, brick & mortar restaurant in Beaver Falls, PA. After a couple moves, The Ball Joint finally landed back in Colorado and has made a home in the heart of downtown Loveland.

Playing with Balls: Sliders Edition

Anytime something new is brought onto the menu, it adds a whole new set of logistics to consider. I do this business myself, so it can be tricky. Figured it out, though.

The problem with sliders? Too many steps when an order comes in to toast the buns, build it, melt cheese, apply final toppings, etc.

Solution? Pre-toast the buns AND melt the cheese. The cheese melts beautifully around the bun like a cheesy, shrink wrap. Also, the cheese provides a protective layer to avoid bun-bottom-sogginess. (Something to see a doctor about, perhaps?)

Order comes in: Grab the bun, apply sauce, add Ball, sauce on top, garnish. BOOM!!! Ball Slider Flight in 30 seconds.

BEHOLD THE PROCESS! And the damn things are delicious and addicting, too.
