I wanted to take a moment to address something that has been brought to my attention a few times over the past month or so.

There seems to be some confusion about whether we have raised our prices, and I want to assure everyone that we have not increased our menu prices in well over a year.

When I put out a new menu, it does not mean our prices have changed. Often, it simply means I have added or removed a few dishes, or made adjustments to what we are offering.

Our limited menus are also not about raising prices. We use them on weekends or during events when we know we will be especially busy so we can help ease the workload on our staff, keep the kitchen running smoothly, and make sure our team is not overwhelmed.

I understand that this is a hardworking, working-class community, and I do my best to keep our menu prices as reasonable as possible. Sometimes that means absorbing increased food and operating costs myself rather than passing those increases along to our customers.

I always want to be transparent with our customers, and I truly appreciate everyone who continues to support our small business.

It has probably leaked out through the grapevine that Jeff had a heart attack. It has been an incredibly scary and overwhelming time, and right now we are both completely exhausted and just trying to take things one step at a time.

We are so grateful for everyone who has reached out, checked on us, offered help, and kept us in their thoughts. Your love and concern truly mean more than we can say.

Please don’t take it personally if we don’t respond to messages, calls, or questions right away. There are a lot of people checking in and, at the moment, we just don’t have the energy to keep everyone individually updated or answer all of the questions.

For now, we’re focusing on Jeff, his recovery, and getting some much-needed rest. Thank you so much for understanding, for caring about him, and for giving us a little time and space to process everything. ❤️
