Thank you to Jacksonville.com, part of the USA TODAY Network, for sharing the story of Asado Life’s newest chapter at the Jacksonville Shipyards!
We’re so grateful to Teresa Stepzinski and The Florida Times-Union team for featuring our journey from St. Augustine to Jacksonville.

Asado Life has officially opened its second waterfront location along the St. Johns River in Jacksonville’s Sports and Entertainment District. Founded by Nick and Christie Carrera alongside business partner Paul Thompson, Asado Life is rooted in Argentine-inspired live-fire cooking, gathering around the fire, and a philosophy that has guided us from the beginning: “The true essence of an asado engages family and friends long before the food hits the table.”
Shipyards vision developed by Shanna Collective and Iguana Investments, with Auld & White Constructors bringing the building to life and DCOOP behind the restaurant’s design.
Our Jacksonville location is now open Tuesday through Sunday for Lunch and Social Hour, with full dinner service begins September 8.
