AMERICA 25O EVENT! 🇺🇸 On July 8, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was first read aloud in public. 🗓️ On July 8, 2026 at 5:30 PM, you’re invited to mark this historic moment at the Ximenez-Fatio House Museum in St. Augustine, Florida!

In partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution Maria Jefferson Chapter and the Sons of the American Revolution St. Augustine Chapter, this event is part of a nationwide simultaneous reading of the Declaration of Independence. Local community leaders will read selected portions as voices across the country join together.

Held in downtown St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, there is no more fitting place to reflect on the founding of the United States.

This event is free and open to the public. No reservations required.

One of the things I love most about living in St. Augustine is that on any given night, you can find yourself listening to legendary artists under the stars.

Last night it was The Black Crowes at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, and what a show! 🎶

There’s just something special about spending an evening with great music, warm Florida weather, and thousands of people singing along together. Whether you’re a longtime local or just visiting, nights like this remind you why St. Augustine is such an incredible place to call home.

The Amp continues to bring world-class artists to our little corner of Florida, and it’s one of my favorite things to recommend to friends and visitors.
