Come try our authentic Japanese takeout in St. Albans! We have chicken, pork cutlet, and curry. Chef Taka-san makes lunch weekdays and dinner Wednesday-Fridays.

Perfect for cold days, we have a miso soup that will warm you right up. We make maple milk tea, a Vermont take on the Japanese beverage, and boba tea in the summer. We believe in taking care of our earth, and as much as we can we use earth-friendly products and local food. We care about our community and love serving the people of St. Albans. Every Saturday we are open 12-5 and we have yakisoba noodles! Yup, every week from here on out! Chef Taka-san cooks fresh yakisoba noodles with cabbage and our house sauce, and tops it all with 2 pieces of everyone's favorite Kara-agè chicken. We recommend adding Kewpie mayo or our Aurora maple sauce to top it off 😘

🔔 New salad option:

For those of you want a spicy cold salad, we named this one after the Trickster Tengu of Japanese yokai folklore! Maybe you've seen this emoji on your phone and wondered what it was 👺? It's a Tengu mask and they represent a trickster who guards the forests. Our Tengu is a tomato salad with a spicy garlicky soupy sauce topped with sesame seeds that will tickle (not trick!) your tastebuds.

To those of you who enjoyed our summer offerings this year, we heard you loud and clear! Although our summer menu is over (bye-bye delicious cold noodles, we will see you again!), we are keeping the Kappa Cucumber Salad and Kaiju Boiled Egg for as long as we are able. If you haven't tried them yet, you're in luck!

As for the katsu-don, sadly, it is taking a longer break than in past years, so we will have something else on the menu as soon as Chef Taka-san has decided. It will be tasty, we promise! Stay tuned for the photos 😋

🔔 New dessert alert! 🍮

We now have a delightful dessert tofu called "Annin-dofu" that tastes like almond and is topped with Vermont maple syrup from our friends at Two Brothers Maple LLC and kinako ground soy beans. You have to try it to believe it (while supplies last).

Maybe you remember our delightful cucumber salad from a few years ago? Named after a Kaiju from Northern Japan where Chef Taka-san is from, our Kappa Salad (河童サラダ) is a small salad made from cucumbers, marinated in sauce and topped with sesame seeds. We even add a tiny set of chopsticks (toothpicks)!! We can't promise, but it just *might* protect you from Kappa in Fukushima 😆 Give it a try and let us know!
