For those of you want a spicy cold salad, we named this one after the Trickster Tengu of Japanese yokai folklore! Maybe you've seen this emoji on your phone and wondered what it was ๐Ÿ‘บ? It's a Tengu mask and they represent a trickster who guards the forests. Our Tengu is a tomato salad with a spicy garlicky soupy sauce topped with sesame seeds that will tickle (not trick!) your tastebuds.

To those of you who enjoyed our summer offerings this year, we heard you loud and clear! Although our summer menu is over (bye-bye delicious cold noodles, we will see you again!), we are keeping the Kappa Cucumber Salad and Kaiju Boiled Egg for as long as we are able. If you haven't tried them yet, you're in luck!

As for the katsu-don, sadly, it is taking a longer break than in past years, so we will have something else on the menu as soon as Chef Taka-san has decided. It will be tasty, we promise! Stay tuned for the photos ๐Ÿ˜‹

We now have a delightful dessert tofu called "Annin-dofu" that tastes like almond and is topped with Vermont maple syrup from our friends at Two Brothers Maple LLC and kinako ground soy beans. You have to try it to believe it (while supplies last).

Maybe you remember our delightful cucumber salad from a few years ago? Named after a Kaiju from Northern Japan where Chef Taka-san is from, our Kappa Salad (ๆฒณ็ซฅใ‚ตใƒฉใƒ€) is a small salad made from cucumbers, marinated in sauce and topped with sesame seeds. We even add a tiny set of chopsticks (toothpicks)!! We can't promise, but it just *might* protect you from Kappa in Fukushima ๐Ÿ˜† Give it a try and let us know!

What more could you ask for on a beautiful hot day than cold tantanmen noodles? We put either our karaage chicken or a spicy pork on top of chilled ramen noodles and add cucumber, tomato, and ginger. Then you pour our house sesame-soy soup (cold of course!) on top, mix it up, and enjoy! (Don't forget, it's for a limited time!)

And don't forget we just started our new MINI bento size for kids: two pieces of crunchy karaage chicken, smaller rice and salad portions, just perfect for the little eaters in your life.

Kaiju Kitchen will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th for Independence Day fireworks๐ŸŽ‡ Join a celebration at the many locations in Vermont and have a safe and fun 4th!

We will open on July 8th with a NEW noodle dish and a new MINI-sized bento (for kids and folks who want a smaller portion). Due to rising costs, we will be adjusting some of the prices on our menu. Please reach out with questions and we will see you next week ๐ŸŽ†
