The Golden Pineapple didn’t start with a restaurant. It started with an old corner store and an idea. 🍍

Back in 2021, Steve purchased the former Sunny’s Market at 28th & G with a vision for what this little corner could become.

What followed was nearly five years of construction, renovations, setbacks, problem-solving, and a whole lot of patience. Along the way, Steve and Keegan took on just about everything—from walls and ceilings to paint colors, equipment, and salvaging pieces of the original building to give them new life.

Then, after years of work, The Golden Pineapple finally opened its doors.

So when we call this place a labor of love, we really mean it. We didn’t move into a finished restaurant—we spent years creating one.

You bring them to a new restaurant and they start reading the menu like it’s a legally binding contract.
