FACE UNAFRAID WINTER BLEND IS BACK

This blend pairs perfectly with wintry mornings, cozy evenings by a fire, and new plans.

Face Unafraid is a blend of Sumatra and our Costa Rica anaerobic process. The Sumatra is developed a little further than our dark roast, Descend Blend, in order to bring out those comforting earthy notes like oak, leather, and vanilla pipe to***co. The Costa Rican is roasted light so the cinnamon and sweet plum notes really shine.

What you get is a complex blend that begins with rich pipe to***co, cinnamon, and vanilla on the nose and palette. As it cools, notes of smooth red wine begin to emerge while the cinnamon lingers until the last sip.

The truth is, you don’t have long.

Whatever plans you’ve made when your heart was full and loved ones were near - whether they were plans to make a positive change in yourself, your relationships, or your community - face them unafraid.

EQUINOX IS BACK IN STOCK

To celebrate the onset of the fall season, we’d like to introduce our fall blend, EQUINOX.

We honestly believe this is the ideal fall coffee.

We started with a lovely Costa Rican. Then, we added a limited coffee from Yemen.

We roast the Costa Rican to a perfect medium and took the Yemen just a tad further to bring out those subtle chai spice and apple notes. The flavors of the Yemen combined with the smooth and gently acidic Costa Rican make this coffee a comforting cup for those crisp mornings.

Fall means many things to many people, but for us it represents change. Death is a necessary part of that process. The letting go of what we know and moving into another season can be painful, but equally beautiful when embraced. We must always see it as an opportunity to appreciate what we have and enjoy the process of slowly letting go.

In the words of Friedrich Nietzsche,

“I notice that Autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.”

We tend to agree.

After spending the past couple of days catching up on some sleep and trying to think of what to say, all we can come up with is… wow.

We’re absolutely blown away by the Terra Madre Americas event hosted by and

This past weekend we witnessed the result of hundreds of people gathering with a shared passion - to make world an objectively better place and educate others about it purely motivated by love.

We were given the incredible opportunity to sit down with coffee roasters and farmers from all over the Americas and ask questions, share experiences, break bread, drink, laugh, cry, and dream. We made new friendships that will last for many years to come, and deepened others in ways more meaningful than can be easily expressed.

Sacramento, you were good to us. Stay tuned for many exciting developments over the next few years.

In a world that rewards speed and efficiency at all costs, remember to take it slow and trust the process. You’ll be amazed at what happens when you mix patience with unbridled passion.

WE’RE GOING TO CALI!!

We’ve been invited to participate in the annual Terra Madre Americas this weekend in Sacramento! Terra Madre Americas is a weekend-long celebration of food, wine, cocktails, and of course, COFFEE from all over the Americas. This event connects farmers, chefs, roasters, and consumers in one exciting and diverse festival.

We will have the incredible opportunity to discuss conscious and sustainable sourcing, as well as our approach to educating the public, and partnering with folks who have the same vision. We’re beyond humbled and excited to spend time with like-minded folks all the way across the country. Plus we’ll get to hang out with our friends and 🖤

HUGE shoutout to Danny for presenting us with the opportunity and making the introductions!

P.S. This will also mean that we’ll be away from the roaster. So any orders placed between now (9/23) and Sunday (9/28) will not be fulfilled until the week of the 29th.
