We’re so excited that Hilltop Fest is ON!!! Hope to see you Saturday in downtown Rutherfordton 🍁 and since they’re ending at 3pm, come down the hill, dine with us and share the highlights✨🎯🎃📸🧘‍♂️🎈

🍂 Hilltop is ON this Saturday! 🍂

We’ve made the call! Join us Saturday, October 3, in Historic Downtown Rutherfordton.

🕙 Updated festival hours: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

We’re ending at 3 p.m. instead of 5 p.m. to help get ahead of the afternoon rain. Come early, stay for lunch, and get that shopping done! 🛍️

Enjoy the car show, music, pumpkin painting, balloon twisting, dog costume contest, and Mr. Vic’s magic show. Grab something good to eat, visit our vendors, and stop in our downtown shops.

Bring the family, meet up with friends, and take time to catch up with your neighbors. Those conversations and familiar faces are a big part of what makes Hilltop special. ❤️

You can fit in a full morning of fun, lunch, and a little shopping and still make it home for your afternoon nap. You’re welcome. 😴

Come be part of a Rutherfordton tradition!

📣 Please share so everyone knows: Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. See you downtown!

Our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration continues with another Rutherford County native making a difference right here at home. ❤️

✨ Meet Jose Herrera, whose Hispanic heritage comes from Mexico. Jose was born and raised in Rutherford County, and today he serves his hometown community through Rutherford County 911.

Jose loves being the calm voice on the other end of the line when someone is facing a frightening or traumatic moment. Before joining 911, he also worked as a flight attendant for Delta — another role centered around helping people and staying steady when it matters.

For Jose, the future is right here. He hopes to continue serving Rutherford County and being there for the community that raised him.

Join us in celebrating Jose and thanking him for the care he gives our community every day! 🇲🇽❤️

¡Seguimos celebrando el Mes de la Herencia Hispana! 🎉❤️ This month, we’re proud to highlight members of our community who are working hard, dreaming big and making a difference.

🌟 Meet Tristan Chavez, a proud Mexican American and 2024 UNC Charlotte graduate who is building his career right here at home. Tristan currently works in accounting at Mitchell CPA PLLC while completing a second degree in accounting and preparing to pursue his CPA certification. His goals are big — becoming a partner in the firm or one day owning a firm of his own.

For Tristan, his Mexican heritage is rooted in family, staying close to the people you love and working hard for what you want — values we know a little something about at Mi Pueblito. ❤️

We’re proud to celebrate young professionals like Tristan who honor where they come from while working toward where they want to go.

Join us in celebrating Tristan and cheering him on as he takes the next steps toward his goals! 🇲🇽🎓

🌶️ Chile Colorado — hearty beef simmered in rich chile sauce with rice, beans and tortillas
🥩 Birria Plate — slow-stewed, savory and seriously satisfying

This is one event the whole community should show up for. ❤️💙

The Wall That Heals is coming to Isothermal Community College this November, and we hope you’ll make it a point to experience it with people you care about.

Plan now to bring your family, church group, class, coworkers, civic club or friends . The Wall will be open 24 hours a day, giving everyone a chance to stop by, reflect and honor our USA Vietnam veterans.

Share the word. Make plans. Be part of bringing healing home. 🇺🇸

🎉❤️ We’re kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating local educators who are helping students feel seen, supported and proud of who they are.

At Forest City-Dunbar Elementary, Silvia Adame-Sanchez and Jessica Muñoz Cope are doing exactly that — bringing their own heritage, experiences and heart into the classroom while helping shape the next generation.

Silvia, a lifelong Rutherford County resident with family roots in Michoacán, Mexico, (like us 🥰) recently returned home after graduating from Western Carolina University to begin her teaching career. She hopes her students see that where they come from should never limit where they can go.

Jessica proudly carries her Honduran heritage through her father and the stories and traditions passed down through her family. As an educator, she wants every child she meets to feel loved, respected and encouraged to embrace the culture that makes them unique.

We’re so proud to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating Silvia, Jessica and the many educators making a difference right here in our community. THANK YOU 💛🎊 ¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!

We are incredibly honored to lend our time, talents and resources to help bring The Wall That Heals to Rutherford County this November.

This recognition was unexpected and deeply appreciated, but the real reward is getting to work alongside so many people committed to honoring our Vietnam veterans and creating an experience our community will never forget.

We hope you’ll follow along, share the word and make plans to experience The Wall That Heals this November. ❤️

💛 THANKFUL THURSDAY: A DYNAMIC DUO BEHIND THE SCENES 💛

💫Some of the most powerful work happens quietly, far from the spotlight. Today, we are honored to shine that spotlight on Cindy Cope and Jenna Bailey—a true dynamic duo whose generosity, creativity, and dedication have helped carry the mission of The Wall That Heals throughout our community and beyond.

📰Cindy was one of the very first boots on the ground as a member of our Advertising Committee. Although she works diligently behind the scenes, her impact is visible everywhere. She has tirelessly promoted this meaningful mission and generously provided banners displayed at high schools both within and beyond Rutherford County. Her passion for this project has been truly inspiring.

🖌Cindy also brought her dear friend Jenna Bailey, founder of Artifacturing , into this mission—and what an incredible gift that partnership has been! Working together, Cindy, Jenna, and the Artifacturing team created the beautiful 30-second promotional video now playing at our local theater.

🎞Jenna also generously extended the talents of her design team to us, including Shelley, whose creativity and expertise have been instrumental in producing banners, signs, and other promotional materials.

🤝This level of commitment—given freely, quietly, and without any expectation of recognition—deserves to be celebrated.

❤️On behalf of the entire Wall That Heals Rutherford County, NC Committee, thank you, Cindy, Jenna, and Shelley, for sharing your time, talent, and resources to help us honor our Vietnam veterans and bring healing home. What each of you does for this community—not only for The Wall That Heals, but through so many other efforts behind the scenes—does not go unnoticed.

💙We see you. We appreciate you. And we are deeply grateful for you.

➡️Please like and share this post and this beautiful video clip below to help us spread the word about The Wall That Heals coming this November.
