✝️ Scripture Saturday! ✝️
Today, the verse we are focusing on is John 19:30:

“It is finished” — One phrase that changed history forever. Like a runner who crosses the finish line, Jesus had finished what He came to do when He died on the cross to save us. His death defeated sin and death forever. He paid in full the debt that we could never pay. He gave up His life so that we could be made right with God.

Why? Because all of humanity has sinned against God, and sin has a cost. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We can be made righteous because of Christ’s righteousness and sacrifice alone, not because of anything we have done or could ever do. When Jesus gave up His life, He gave every person the opportunity to become a child of God. He did it because He loves us.

And three days later, God raised Jesus from the dead. Meaning Jesus also conquered death itself! All who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone will also be raised from the dead!

“It is finished” is a statement of victory over sin and death, made by our Savior!!

We hope you have a blessed weekend and remember that your greatest problems—sin and death—have already been defeated and all thats left is to respond in faith! ✝️
