My mom was SOOOO excited when I bought this coffee shop… I’m so glad she got to see it in person and think of all the times she’d call me with a new recipe for the shop! It’s been a year since we lost her, and here I sit, opening a second coffee shop. I keep wanting to call her to tell her silly things, like today we got a bathroom door!🤣🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻 I wish I could show her what’s happening. I KNOW she would get the vision! She was a dreamer too… She may not be here to see it, but I sure did bust out her sewing machine, and whip up some curtains for it today. A silly way, to have piece of her there too… 🩷🥹

Reminded of this today, as every human in town drove past, while we were working on the second location. Waving, honking, cheering, as they passed by…. Some even stopping for pictures lol I’m telling you now, if I “made you coffee,” and you care this much about what’s happening now… enough to show up and clean, to paint, to pick up tables for me…. YOU understand the mission of this coffee shop! YOU understand it’s bigger than US. THIS is about our community. Always has been. Always will be. I couldn’t have picked a better “village!” Love y’all more!!!!!!!🥰🩷🙌🏻

I am covered in paint, sweat, grease and
God knows what else. Every muscle in my body hurts. Wildly dehydrated- even after drinking over 10 bottles of water today🤣

And ya know what? I’m not complaining about any of that! I’m thankful for every single second!

I spent the day with my favorite humans, my family! Even if hand picked and not blood! And we started something bigger than us…..

The Flying Pig will forever be bigger than coffee….. and I’m thankful and blessed to be watching its mission grow!!!!!!
