Rush Cafe Mom and Pops The Cafe was built in 1959 by Woody and Betty Thieman. Woody was Sherie's uncle. In 1988 they felt the need to expand.

The Rush Cafe has been a Thieman family business for over 50 years.The first owners were Woody and Betty Thieman,then Orville and Beverley (Boots) Thieman
and now owned by Willis and Sherie (Thieman) Kelly. They sold the restaurant to Sherie's parents, Orville and Beverley Thieman,in 1962.In 1985 Willis and Sherie
were married and leased the business for one year before they actually bought it in

August of 1986. That way they had time to learn the home-cookin' style that is still in the restaurant today. They also had to figure out how to wrok together and manage the business. Willis helped build and remodel the restaurant, only closing 2 days out of 3 months of construction. we could not have accomplished all this without the suppot of our loyal community and friends. To show our appreciation we are celebrating 25 years in business with fun,discounts,door prizes,and great food.

Been gone 2 years and people in community still won't leave me alone. I'm still on their minds. Might have to move forward with the defamation of character and slander suit hmm 😒 🤔 no statute of limitation. Everything is archived. I know who they are that can't move on with life. Life has been truly challenging recently for a lot of us. Myself have AMR now after being on 7 rounds of antibiotics. My immune system is shot and my energy is non existent after 2hrs. Holly is doing her best to run a restaurant by herself while battling personal life. I've been avoiding Facebook and I'm truly sorry. Things are kind of looking up and we are trying to stay open consistently. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a blessed life and stay up!! Today we have made from scratch meatballs that are delicious! First of all I hope everyone got to spend time with family and enjoy Christmas or at least enjoy it !! Second I want to apologize for our inconsistency. I won't go into detail, it's too much. But I recently got out of hospital and my co worker needed a much deserved break from trying to run a restaurant all by herself. That being said we will be re opening on Tuesday to start fresh for the new year and hopefully can stay consistent with more hired staff. We here wish you all a Happy New Year!! Again we are very sorry for all the people who have traveled and have been disappointed. Please if you come in and mention it we will do our best to make it up to you!! ❤❤
