CHEF LISA LORRAINE MARRONE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
This has been a long time in the making. It has been almost 3 years since Lisa was taken from us. It took 2 1/2 years for the restoration of her condo after the fire was set. We sold the condo and used the monies to start the process of setting up an endowed scholarship to honor Lisa's life. This scholarship is set up to continue on in her memory forever.
The scholarship is set up to help Culinary Students at Macomb Community College. MCC is where Lisa received her associate of Applied Science in both Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts. If you are a culinary student or know a culinary student at MCC please encourage them to apply.
I have attached a QR code for anyone who would like to donate to the scholarship in Lisa's memory. The Macomb Foundation is also sending me envelopes for donation. Message me if you want an envelope.
Lisa is loved and missed so much. She would be proud that her scholarship is able to help and support those interest in the culinary arts.

‼️UPDATE ON JUSTICE FOR LISA‼️
This morning was our last day in court for the sentencing of the monster. I read my impact statement to the court and one was read for Lisa's brother John. The prosecutors and the defense had their last say. The monster said nothing. He stood their with no emotion or remorse.
He was given LIFE in prison no parole. He will die in prison. The only thing I wish for him is that he drops the soap.
Again, our heats are still broken with the lose of Lisa. We will not discuss or relive anything to do with her death so don't ask.
There is no closure for us.💔

‼️ ‼️ Justice for Lisa update ‼️ ‼️
Trial is over and the jury has spoken
* homicide-felony murder GUILTY life no parole
* homicide-murder 1st degree premeditated GUILTY life no parole
* first degree arson Guilty life
* stolen property-receiving and concealing- motor vehicle GUILTY
There was a lot of evidence and testimony from experts including the Michigan State Police and the FBI. Also a confession from the monster himself.
We are happy with the outcome but this decision does not offer any closure. Lisa is still gone and our lives are still devastated. We will not discuss the details of the case with anyone so please do not ask us to relive any of this.

‼️UPDATE JUSTICE FOR LISA‼️
We have spent the last 8 months in district court. We will now be moving onto Circuit Court for the trial. This will also be a long process. The timeline for district court is below.

April 5, 2022 Arraignment - The monster was charged with 1st degree premeditated murder, felony murder and felony arson. He is being held in jail with NO bond.

April to December Probable Cause Conference's. We were in court every few weeks. The monster was on zoom from jail. There were lot of delays waiting for the autopsy report, the death certificate (we had to wait 4 months for Lisa's certificate). There was also competency and culpability interviews and reports.

December 2 and 9, 2022 Preliminary Hearing. The Judge decided there is enough evidence to go to trial in circuit court and the charges will remain.

This has been a been a long and very emotional process. I will update again when there is a verdict at the trial. (It will probably be 6 months or more). Please do not bother the family with question. Lisa's death is something we deal with on a daily basis and we don't want to keep reliving it or have our child, sister, aunt turned into your gossip.

JUSTICE FOR LISA
12-08-1990 To 02-05-2022

Our beautiful Lisa, our sweetest angel was brutally murdered sometime February 4th or 5th. The monster then used an accelerant on her body burning her and her condo. I assume this was to destroy evidence.

We made a choice to remain silent knowing this monster was most likely on her social media. It paid off. An arrest has been made. Do not ask me his name. I will never speak or post it. He does not deserve to be recognized as human. Just call him monster.

I have read and re-read every post about Lisa's passing. We, her family, are greatful that in her short life she was surrounded by such good friends.

Thank you to the Roseville Police and one special Detective that would not give up until there was justice for Lisa.

As you can imagine we are truly heartbroken. It takes every ounce of energy just to get through the day without Lisa. Losing a child not only breaks your heart. It breaks your spirit. Please keep us in your prayers.
