Dear Moose Members,

Frederick Chapter 347 in Frederick, Maryland is creating a custom cookbook in honor of One Moose to be published in May 2021 featuring favorite recipes from our members. These cookbooks will be professionally published in a hardback, 3 ring binder by Morris Press Cookbooks and are sure to be a treasured keepsake for us all.

Please submit 3-5 of your favorite recipes so you can be represented in our cookbook. Many recipes from all members will ensure that our cookbook is a success. We are using Morris Press Cookbook's web site to easily submit recipes online. If you do not have Internet access, our committee can enter them for you. Please submit your recipes by March 20, 2021 to [email protected] or mail to:

To Submit Recipes Online: Go to www.typensave.com and click 'Login.' Enter the User Name: Chapter 347 Enter the password: Contributor and click 'Submit.' Enter your name and click 'Continue.' Click 'Add Recipes' to begin adding your recipes. Please add your chapter or lodge number followed by city and state as the last item in your recipe (e.g., Chapter 347, Frederick, Maryland)

Consider These Recipe Writing Tips: When adding recipes, review the "Tips" and use standard abbreviations. Only enter 1 ingredient per ingredient line. List ingredients in order of use in the ingredients list and directions. Include container sizes, e.g., (16-oz.) pkg., (24-oz.) can. Write directions in paragraph form, not in steps. Use names of ingredients in the directions, e.g., "Combine flour and sugar." DO NOT use statements like, "Combine first three ingredients." Include temperatures and cooking, chilling, baking, and/or freezing times.

Please submit your recipes online by April 15, 2021, so we can meet our deadline.

The cookbooks will go to print in May 2021 and will be available for purchase.

How does this affect Rosedale Moose?
1. The Social Quarters will close at 10PM and all members WILL be out of the building at that time.
2. Face coverings MUST be worn at ALL times when not seated or social distancing is not possible.
3. Social distancing MUST be observed in the bar area. Six feet of space MUST be kept between groups of members. In other words, we can't have a full bar with butts in every seat.
4. 50% capacity max.
The bartender is in charge of implementing this policy and may direct you to not sit at the bar if social distancing is not possible. Dining room seating would be your option. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping our members and staff safe.

We will be closed today, 11/5, so the Social Quarters can be thoroughly cleaned. I am reminding each member AND guest that facial coverings are required AT ALL TIMES when you are not seated or can't maintain social distance. Please respect one another's space. Covid19 guideline violations will get you suspended from the Social Quarters! If anyone who was in the Social Quarters this past Sunday is exhibiting symptoms or test positive, please contact me immediately. Your identity will remain private.

Coronavirus Alert! A member who was in the Social Quarters of Rosedale Moose on Sunday, Nov 1 between 1PM and 4PM has tested positive today, Tuesday Nov 3 for Coronavirus. No further details available. As always, when in the Social Quarters, please wear your face mask and practice social distancing.
