Twenty years ago, we opened the doors of Ami with hope, determination, and a dream for our family.
We were new to the restaurant business. We were immigrants learning a new language, a new culture, and a new way of life. Like many families starting over, we made mistakes, learned valuable lessons, and worked harder than we ever imagined.
What we did not know at the time was that we would find a home.
Over the past twenty years, Roseburg has become much more than the place where our restaurant is located. It became our home, where our family grew, our children were raised, and lifelong friendships were formed.
Most importantly, it became a community that welcomed us, supported us, and embraced us as one of its own.
Because of you, we were able to put down roots.
Because of you, Ami has had the privilege of serving this community for the past twenty years.
Today, as we celebrate this milestone, our hearts are filled with gratitude.
Thank you for supporting a small family-owned restaurant.
Thank you for embracing our culture, our food, and our family.
Thank you for helping us find a place to belong.
As we begin our next chapter, we hope you will continue this journey with us.
In the coming months, you will see exciting new projects, a refreshed website, anniversary merchandise, community events, and new ways for us to share the recipes and traditions that have shaped Ami over the last twenty years.
Everything we build moving forward will continue to be inspired by the community that helped us grow.
While we look forward to the future, one thing will never change:
