EL Description Le Hindustani Music était à l'honneur hier. Une publication signée Dr Ibrahim Alladin, retraçant le parcours exceptionnel de feu Abdool Hamidkhan Jaffar Beg a été lancé hier. Jaffar Beg était un Qawwali très connu qui a contribué à donner au Qawwal et à la langue Ourdoue ses lettres de noblesses. Hamidkhan Jaffar Beg a séduit ses fans dans les années 50 et 60. Passionné de musique, ses morceaux étaient fort appréciés à une époque où les divertissements étaient rares. A ce titre, le Dr Ibrahim Alladin a décidé de faire connaître au public la contribution de Jaffar Beg et revivre les moments d'antan. Ecrit dans un anglais simple, direct, la biographie du regretté Qawwali fait la part belle à la culture. Ce chanteur hors-pair a transmis sa passion à son fils Reshad et son petit fils, Muzaffar. Ce lancement a eu lieu parmi un parterre d'invités notamment le Deputy Prime Minister, Steven Obeegadoo, l'ex-Président de la République, Raouf Bundhun, la Haute Commissaire de l'Inde, Nandini Singhla et le PPS, Ismaël Rawoo Dr. Alia Burhan, Ambassadeur de la République arabe d'Egypte
