Fall ORV Fun Run Fundraiser for Local Animal Rescues! 🍂🐾🚜
Gear up for a crisp autumn ride through Northern Michigan and help us support two incredible local causes: the Roscommon County Animal Shelter and The ARK Association for Rescue & Care!
Whether you're hitting the trails on a side-by-side, quad, or taking the roads in your everyday vehicle, everyone is welcome to join the fun, collect checkpoint tickets, and win great prizes—all while supporting pets in need.
📅 EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday, October 3rd 2026
Location: Back Door Saloon (Houghton Lake, MI)
Pet Food Drive: All day long at Back Door Saloon & locations throughout town! Bring food and pet supply donations to help stock the rescues.
⏰ EVENT SCHEDULE
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Registration & Check-In
Location: Back Door Saloon
Details: No pre-registration required! Just check in when you arrive.
Cost: FREE to participate! We strongly encourage cash or supply donations for the Roscommon County Animal Shelter and The ARK.
Bonus: Stop by the I’d Brap That booth to gear up—they are donating 10% of all merchandise sales directly to The ARK!
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM | ORV Fun Run
Explore at your own pace! This is a self-guided ride, so hit the checkpoints with your own crew.
Routes: Paper maps and Polaris Ride Command app routes will be provided with suggested paths, but every checkpoint is also accessible by regular road vehicles.
Checkpoints: Final checkpoint details and location info will be handed out during morning check-in.
5:00 PM | Adoption Meet & Greet + Prize Drawings
Location: Back Door Saloon
Details: Wrap up the day by meeting some adoptable pets, enjoying the atmosphere, and finding out if you won!
Prize Tickets: Every registered participant gets 1 set of prize tickets for completing checkpoints. Want more chances to win? Make an extra donation to the rescues at check-in to get extra tickets!

Show Up & Ride: Bring your machine or vehicle out for the day.
Donate: Bring pet food, supplies, or cash donations.
Shop: Grab some gear at the I'd Brap That booth.

“Thank you to The Minnow Bucket at Exit 222, Houghton Lake Tractor Supply, Kiss Me Coffee Shoppe, Back Door Saloon, & Kilcare Bar and Grill for being drop off locations for this years pet food drive going on through October 3rd. Please drop items off at any of those locations or bring it to the ride.
Collected items will go to A.R.K. / Association to Rescue Kritters Roscommon County Animal Shelter & Roscoe Rescue. We will also ride to raise funds, recruit volunteers and get some animals adopted at the Annual Fall ORV Fun Run 4 Rescue Animals on October 3rd.”
