WHEW!!! We made it through week one and BABY, SOMETHING SPECIAL IS BREWING AT HARMON GROUNDS! ☕️🩷

What happens when you open the doors to a little retail space with coffee and a BIG vision for community?

THIS. ALL OF THIS. 🥹🥰🥰🥰

In just our first week, we’ve welcomed a beautiful group from a local church, watched children gather around games and laughter, met a talented artist who stopped in to share his work and connected with a wonderful woman who’s planning to return to share her voice through song and host a workshop centered on grief and healing.

Then we had neighbors who simply stopped in for coffee… but found themselves getting cozy and staying a while for conversation. ❤️

Oh and guess what? WE HAVE OUR FIRST REGULAR! 🎉🥳🥳

Apparently, our Dragon Fruit Lime Refresher has somebody in a serious chokehold! 😂 Imagine a vibrant, tropical burst of sweet dragon fruit dancing with the bright, tangy zing of fresh lime and a hint of caffeine. Cool, fruity, refreshingly tart, and so delicious that one sip makes you immediately want another. It’s sunshine, vacation vibes, and a little tropical happiness poured over ice!

That’s exactly what I dreamed Harmon Grounds would become.

We’re still in our soft opening phase through the end of the year and still becoming. Still building this dream one cup, one conversation and one connection at a time. Just imagine what’s coming next!🥰🥰🥰

Had the chance to stop by the soft opening of and it was so much more than donuts!❤️🥰
It was community.
It was conversation.
It was neighbors, entrepreneurs, dreamers and people investing in a legacy that’s been part of Detroit for generations.
As someone working toward opening I love seeing historic businesses continue to evolve while staying true to who they are.
Congratulations to and Nhu everyone involved. Wishing you full parking lots, long lines, and lots of happy customers. ❤️

Happy Tuesday!!!

You all have been showing so much love and support by donating and helping us reach our goal! 🥰🥰🥰

Love wins…. but first we gotta get these permits. 🏗️👷🏾‍♀️👷🏽‍♂️👷

I do have some big news to share…. we just cleared a major milestone behind the scenes (you’ll see why soon 👀). Every piece is falling into place and honestly?? I can FEEL these doors opening.

Shoutout to everyone who donated or shared the campaign this weekend… y’all did THAT. 🙌🏾 We’re pairing what we’ve raised with capital we already have and we are close.

Here’s the math: $100 from 100 people and we’re in business. Literally!!!

That’s one tank of gas. One dinner out. One decision that helps build something real for an entire community.
