the front door's open, a righteous breeze is coming through and toasted marshmallow matcha lattes are flowin'

for the uninitiated: the TMML is our matcha latte with frothed extra toasty caramel milk-of-choice and real live flambe'd mini mallows on top. it's refreshing campfire vibes in a cup.

You can get it hot or iced and it slaps either way.

We had a heck of a weekend serving all you regulars and our one-weekend-a-year-regulars for Capitolfest. Hundreds of coffees. Hundreds of lattes. Grilled cheese sandwiches, cookies muffins, the works. We hope we served you all well, we hope you left the shop happier, fuller, more satisfied with your day each and every time you walked through our door.

As a team we feel good about the work we did, the effort we put in, and just having the opportunity to serve all of you drinks and food we're proud of. So, at the end of the day today, we had a collective "we did it." We took a deep breath and thought, wouldn't it be nice to have an extra day to restore ourselves, and, well, take a little time for ourselves... hate to say it, but, this Summer ain't getting any younger, we've gotta try to enjoy it while we can.

So with that in mind, we are gonna be closed Tuesday. Please come see us Wednesday and the rest of the week as we will be open for our normal hours. Thank you as always for your understanding and support.

It's happening! 🧑‍🎨🖼️🥳

The Supillar - Petite Art Exhibition Opening & Reception is this Friday, August 7th, from 6pm til 8pm. The cafe will be open and serving drinks, and we will have light refreshments available. :)

We were so overwhelmed with submissions that we decided not only to have work displayed on the pillar, but to exhibit ALL submissions. All of the work presented will be available for purchase at the opening. We are so grateful and excited to tell you that we have 20+ local artists participating!!

After the opening night, the exhibition will be ongoing and constantly rotating. So! if you see something you like be sure to grab it while you can! All work is available for purchase at $35.

Our inspired summer bevvy is a cucumber-lime refresher that has everything you need to power through LOST BOYS SUMMER.

You may have question, like, is it green? Is it blue? Does it really look like the color of Phoebe's upcoming album? Yes! Usually and depending on the light, for sure! 😆

Nature is healing—art is returning to superofficial.

A few friends came in last week and as we talked about how odd it felt with the gallery all moved-out we spitballed a fun idea that's now becoming a reality: we're gonna to have a "Petite Art Exhibit" in the middle of the cafe—on the PILLAR (henceforth to be known as the SUPILLAR!)

It's silly, it's small, it's unconventional and, really, it might be perfect. By our estimation, it's exactly what we need to get back in the art game and make sure superofficial remains a home for art in Rome.

The goal is simple: exhibit for sale small, budget-friendly pieces of all mediums to our customers at the cafe. We know times are tough and money is tight, and this price point ($35!) is meant to help folks get something unique, something nice, something small that will brighten their day and engage with local art at the same time. Some would call that a win-win and we'd agree.

For those interested in submitting work for the SUPILLAR petite art exhibit: we have an online application for submissions (link in bio). We are happy to say that applications are *free* and the commission for sales will be $5 (+taxes and processing fees). Applications are being accepted now through July 26.

We will be holding a reception for the show opening on Friday, August 07 at 6pm

All hail the PINK 'N GREEN! She is the 🍓 🍵 of your dreams.

So! In ten days (04/22) superofficial turns 4!

We're gonna be bringing back some of your favorite special drinks leading up to our birthday bday party next Saturday (04/18).

The PINK 'N GREEN obviously HAS to be the first one we roll out because it was the first special on offer at our pop up from before the shop was even open yet. The third photo in the bunch was actually from that popup 🙏

🙃 okay, we're late getting this out, WE KNOW 😭 but good things take time (rah rah rah) and we are planning one heck of a chill-but-very-fun superofficial anniversary celebration.

First, tho, Jeff is coming in THIS SUNDAY 04/12 for one of our fave creative events, COLLAGE NIGHT--now during the day--starting at 2pm :)

Then, our fourth anniversary: flash tattoos (info and flash sheets to come soon!), high-spy (it is the weekend of 4/20 after all), raffles, giveaways, prizes, an expanded specials menu (is your fave menu item gonna return?) and late open hours 🥳

We are continuing our partnership with and we will be open late Friday April 24 in conjunction with their Open Mic Night. Make a plan to come down, grab a drink, hang out, head over across the street and sing your heart out 👩‍🎤 or work on your standup routine 😆

Hey all! We are gonna be away for the first half of next week. We've got some concerts 👩🏻‍🎤 to attend and some spring to break 🐣

We are closing out our day here on Sunday with our regular hours but then we won't see y'all 'til Friday, April 10! 😮

We're gonna go get some life experience, listen to some live music, see some new cafes and restaurants and if all goes as planned, we will be back as better, fresher, more excellent baristas.
