Get a glimpse of what Zumé has to offer THIS THURSDAY!
With this 10-week training you will learn many skills for spreading the gospel and deepening your relationship with Jesus and the people in your community!
Story Church, we exist to be “a people KNOWING, LIVING, and TELLING the Love STORY of Jesus to a lost world.” This is why we’re inviting you to attend A Taste of Zúme. This a 2 hour preview of a Gospel/Disciple-making training resource that has already impacted the lives of many of our Storytellers. “Zúme, the Greek word for 'yeast,' holds a significant meaning. In Matthew 13:33, Jesus compared the kingdom of heaven to yeast mixed into a large amount of flour, permeating the entire dough. This parable illustrates how ordinary people, using ordinary resources, can have exponential impact for the Kingdom of God.” The elders of Story desire to properly equip every believer to become competent and confident storytellers of the gospel of Jesus. So after A Taste of Zúme, you will have an opportunity to sign up for the full 10 week training. In this training, you will learn practical disciple-making skills which will be taught, demonstrated and practiced together. We plan to offer Zúme, multiple times each year in order to equip every Storyteller to engage in our mission. “The best outcome of the training will be a changed lifestyle and an experience of increased power in your faith.”
Church, this is our way forward as a missional church. We have been sent out with the power of the gospel, empowered by the Holy Spirit. We have everything required to fulfill the “Great Commission.” We have been sent, therefore, we must become faithful.
[18] And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18–20, ESV)
