Rogers Animal Services "Like" this page if you are interested in adopting a shelter animal in NWA, donating a few hours at the shelter or helping us spread the word!

Since 2010, Rogers Animal Services has had a major impact on the stray animal population by returning them to their homes, finding them new homes, or getting them into rescue organizations. In 2016, our live release rate for the year was 100% of the animals that came through Rogers Animal Shelter! We are working hard to maintain that level of success and improve the lives of our four legged friends in 2017. The shelters are always in need of donations, such as money, food, or your time as a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities range from drop-in dog walking, off-site adoption events, training classes and fundraising. Please contact [email protected] or check for wall updates for info on events and orientation hours. Welcome to an Official page of the City of Rogers, Arkansas. JOINT PRESS RELEASE FROM THE BLUEHILL ROAD FUGITIVES

We were NOT lost. We were on a highly sophisticated, self-guided, off-leash tour of Bluehill Road in Rogers. We were conducting important sidewalk inspections. Sniffing things. For research.

Then SOMEONE called animal control and ruined our whole vibe.

I [black & tan dog with the red leash that is NOT my color] would like to state for the record that I was smiling THE WHOLE TIME. See pics 1-3? That's my "I'm having the best day ever and this is definitely not a metal jail cell" face. My ears are doing two different things because I'm processing complex emotions.

And I [distinguished German Shepherd on what appears to be a toddler's Easter blanket] would like to add that I was promised a luxury resort. This is not a luxury resort. Although the green/purple blanket is... a choice. I've been laying here contemplating my life choices and panting dramatically for effect.

So, if our human is out there wondering where their two incredibly well-behaved, totally innocent, would-never-run-off dogs are:

We are currently detained against our will. We are accepting visitors, treats, apologies, and bail money.

We were last seen living our best lives on Bluehill Road. Now we're in the Rogers clink working on our mugshots.

Please come get us before my friend's tongue falls off from smiling so hard.

Sincerely,
The Escape Committee (Red Leash & Blanket Hog)

Meet River.

River is a 4-5 year old, neutered male Shepherd mix — and he is an American Classic.

This is your grand pappy's dog. The kind of dog that used to be on the front porch of every farm in this country. Big head, broad chest, honey-gold coat with that wise black mask, white socks, and a smile that takes up his whole face.

Look at those pictures and you know exactly who he is. That long pink tongue hanging out. Those soft brown eyes that have already seen a few things and decided to be happy anyway. That goofy, wide-open grin that says "well, aren't we having a good day?" River is pure sunshine. He leans into a scratch, he flops down in the gravel just to be near you, he licks his nose like he's remembering where he left his last treat.

River is the kind of dog that would spend his day right — chasing varmints out of the garden, checking on the cows, making sure no raccoon gets bold around the hen house — and then come right up to the front porch, lay down heavy against your leg, and philosophize with you till the moon hangs high over the pasture.

He's not a puppy bouncing off the walls. He's a grown man. Steady. Loyal. The dog who sits with you, not on you. The dog who knows the job is to be there.

The Details:
• Name: River
• Age: 4-5 years young
• Breed: Shepherd Mix
• S*x: Neutered Male
• Personality: 100% good boy. Happy, affectionate, soulful, porch-dog extraordinaire.

River isn't looking for a fancy life. He's looking for his porch. His people. His place to keep watch.

Come meet him — he'll be the one smiling at you first.

Meet Daisy!

Daisy is a 1-year-old, spayed female Black Labrador Retriever and she is 100% ready for any kind of adventure you have planned.

If you look at her pictures, you get her personality instantly - big goofy grin, tongue out, tail up and wagging, always on the move. She’s a classic tomboy Lab. Not a princess, not prissy - she wants to be IN IT. Whatever "it" is.

Got toys? She's got them. Got a trail? She's already halfway down it. That sleek, shiny black coat and those long, athletic legs were made for adventure.

Daisy is the ultimate adventure buddy:

• High Energy & Happy: This girl has a motor that doesn't quit. She loves to run, play, chase toys, and explore every inch of her world. She's that happy, bouncy Lab who lives for the next game.

• Ready For Anything: Fishing at dawn? She's in the boat. Camping? She's carrying the stick. Hiking, running, marathon training, or your completely unrealistic plan to climb Mt. Everest? Daisy packed her bag before you did.

• And Then... The Best Couch Dog: For all her go-go, she has a perfect off-switch. After a busy day of doing all the things, she is more than happy to crash on the couch right next to you and be your cuddle bug.

Daisy is young, healthy, spayed, and ready for an active family who wants a true partner-in-crime. She'd thrive with a yard to zoom in, daily walks/runs/hikes, and people who include their dog in everything.

If you're looking for a sweet, spirited, always-up-for-it best friend who will make you laugh every single day, Daisy is your girl.

Come meet Daisy - she can't wait to meet you!

Meet Shane - Your Future Best Friend

2 Years Old / Neutered Male / American Staffordshire Terrier Mix

Shane is a handsome, sleek-coated black beauty with the cutest little white patch on his chest and an even bigger heart. At about 2 years old, he's got that perfect mix of young energy and grown-up good looks - strong, athletic, and always ready with a big, goofy, tongue-out smile.

At first meeting, Shane can be a little standoffish. He's not the type to jump straight into your lap - he likes to take a minute, check you out, and make sure you're worthy. But give him just a little time and patience, and you will unlock the real Shane:

A loyal, faithful, vigilant, and incredibly loving companion who also happens to be downright silly. As you can see from his photos, his favorite position is belly-up in the grass, paws in the air, mouth wide open in the biggest, goofiest grin, begging for belly rubs. He doesn't know how big his smile is - and that's part of his charm.

About Shane:
• Personality: Loyal to the core, loving, vigilant, and a total goofball once he trusts you. He will be your shadow and your protector.

• Dog Friends: Shane has met a few dogs and seems to prefer female dogs, but he absolutely can have male friends too - his best buddy in the world is another male dog named Choco! A slow, proper introduction is key.

• What he needs: A patient person or family who understands that trust is earned. Someone who will let him warm up at his own pace and then enjoy a lifetime of loyalty in return.

Shane isn't an instant party animal - he's a slow-burn best friend. If you're looking for a dog who will choose you and love you fiercely, faithfully, and with a lot of silly faces along the way, Shane is your guy.

Come meet Shane and let him show you his famous upside-down smile in person.
