PRIME'S DINNER JAZZ SERIES IS BACK!

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – New Orleans-based vocalist Gabrielle Cavassa will join the Ryan Hanseler Trio to kick off a powerhouse lineup of musicians and singers for the 2026 Dinner Concert Series on Friday and Saturday, June 12-13.
Cavassa, recently signed to the Blue Note Records jazz label, has been lauded for her beautiful, rich and sultry voice. She is one of the rapidly rising stars on the national and international jazz scene, having recorded with the Grammy Award-winning New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition at the James Moody Jazz Festival in 2021. In addition to her own dazzling recordings – Gabrielle Cavassa (2020) and Diavola (2026) – she is featured on two recent recordings by Grammy-nominated saxophonist Joshua Redman.
"I'm excited!" says Cavassa, who's making her first visit to Rocky Mount.
Seating begins at 8 p.m. for the 9 p.m. concert. Since these are dinner shows, the entire menu will be available throughout the performance.

Following Cassava’s June concert, soul songstress Alyson Williams, whose luscious voice flooded the airways in the '80s and '90s with such classic hits as "Just Call My Name," "Sleep Talk," "My Love Is So Raw" and "I Need Your Lovin'" graces the Prime Smokehouse stage on July 17-18; Los Angeles-based keyboardist-singer Frank McComb brings his fiery group to town on August 7-8; and the illustrious Karla Williams wraps up the series on September 4-5 with her swinging quartet.
