Thank you, friends!
There are extra reasons to visit River City Brew Works this weekend. We have made the decision to hand back this great historic building to the city after five years of operation. It’s a tough decision. We don’t like endings but we are eager to see what the next chapter is for this location on Main Street.
Thank you to our staff (bartenders, cooks and servers), past and present. Thanks to Mayors Gay Ann Harney, Donnie Winkler and Cathy Kirkpatrick for their support and, of course, our patrons. We survived Covid together and staffing challenges, so we are proud of what we have accomplished.
We will be escrowing our beer, wine and spirits license and would be open to selling it at some point. But we would also like a presence in Rockport or southern Spencer County in the future. So we aren’t going to be absent forever. Promise.
Some of our furnishings will stay with the building and others will go to our Santa Claus location. Anyone wanting to learn more about the building can contact City Hall.
We’ll be offering drink and food specials all three days this week. Please stop by.
