🚨STOP SCROLLING. THIS IS ABOUT OUR WOMEN. OUR CHILDREN. OUR FUTURE. FOR THEM, FOR US, FOR ROCHESTER!

We cannot keep saying we love our community while becoming comfortable with the violence that is destroying it.

When women and children are being caught in the crossfire, harmed, traumatized, and forced to live with fear, silence is no longer an option.

And let me be clear: this is not an indictment of Rochester. It is a challenge to Rochester.

I love this city.

I see its beauty. I see its brilliance. I see the entrepreneurs, educators, parents, artists, mentors, faith leaders, young people, and everyday people who continue to build, serve, create, and thrive despite adversity.

But loving our community means being willing to confront what is hurting it.

Be known for modeling excellence for young people.

This photo takes me back to my time as a K to 6 principal. Every day was an opportunity to show children that they matter and that their families matter. My responsibility was never just to lead a school. It was to create a place where every child felt seen, valued, respected, and challenged to become their very best.

Our young people are always paying attention. They notice how we speak to them, how we treat their families, and whether our actions match our words. Leadership is not just what we say. It is what we consistently model.

If we want the next generation to lead with character, compassion, confidence, and excellence, we have to show them what that looks like every single day.

The future depends on it.
