Help us fill the pantry: Kroger has agreed to donate a $5,000 gift in gift cards, and we have the opportunity to fully stock our Golden Grizzlies Food Pantry for students in need. But here’s the reality: we will only receive the full $5,000 if our community matches it dollar for dollar on Oakland University Giving Day, which is TODAY, WEDNEDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH. If we don’t reach the goal, we forfeit the remaining funds. Every gift to the pantry on Giving Day moves us closer to unlocking the entire match and ensuring no dollars are left behind! Attention Pantry Shoppers!

Our Intake Form has a new look and if you have completed it before, please consider filling out this new edition!

If you are an existing shopper, you may have already done our intake form. This post is to announce that we have re-built the intake form to gather a bit more demographic information from shoppers which is used by our staff to analyze how food insecurity impacts different groups in different ways. The data from this form is separate from the past intake form, meaning if you have already completed it, you can complete the new form to give the staff better data. This research then is used to apply for grants and other funding to continue to support the pantry.

If you fill this form out, it will take you about 15 minutes, but it could translate into essential funding to help increase the amount and variety of items on our shelves. As a shopper, filling this form out is one of the best things you can do to help support the pantry. However, this form is OPTIONAL and not required to shop, so if you do not feel comfortable sharing this information, you do not need to and can still shop without worry.

If you do complete this form, please only complete it once. There should not be any further changes to this form for the foreseeaable future.

Hey everyone! This month, we beat the totals from the same time of year in 2025, having another record-breaking month for donations and distributions! This data demonstrates the continual need in the community for the services provided by our campus pantry.

Thank you to all donors, shoppers, volunteers, and staff who continue to make these numbers a reality! What a great start to the new year 😊

Hey all! Our student staff is in need of volunteers to assist with the intake and organization process of our different regular biweekly donations.

Our next Thursday donation is scheduled for 2/5/26. Our next Tuesday donation is scheduled for 2/10/26. These donations are every other week, not weekly.

If you are looking for service hours, ways to build your resume, or if you just want to give back to your Oakland University community, this is an incredible way to do so!

Due to inclement weather and following the university-wide closure, the pantry will be closed on Thursday, January 15. The pantry will reopen tomorrow, Friday, January 16th with normal hours of operation!

We are writing this post to say a massive thank you to Every Nation at Oakland University, Kimberley Goode, and Dr. Bronner's for your generous donation to our campus food pantry that totaled 487.48 lbs!

This donation was especially important as it included a lot of hygiene and cleaning products, which are rarely donated but always fly off the shelves due to high demand. Without donations like this, we would not be able to provide the essential services to support our OU community.
