☕🎃 COFFEE & COSTUMES: SMALL CUPS, BIG IMPACT! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to our amazing community and the small businesses who came together to make our Coffee & Costumes event a success! 🧡

Today, we had the pleasure of serving over 70 kids with a FREE breakfast, healthy snacks, and the opportunity to learn how to make their own hot chocolate! ☕🍎 Seeing their smiles made it all worthwhile.

At Equal Grounds, we believe our purpose goes beyond serving great coffee and providing excellent service. We want our community to feel valued, appreciated, and celebrated for choosing to support us.

Giving back doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes, it's the small acts of kindness and the collaboration of passionate small business owners that create the biggest impact. That's how we show our gratitude, support our community, and make philanthropy part of what we do. ❤️

To every donor, small business, volunteer, and family who showed up — THANK YOU for helping us make a difference! We couldn't have done it without you.

☕️🎬 EPISODE 7: WHY THE F**K DID I BUY THIS COFFEE SHOP?! 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

BABY, I JUMPED OFF THE PORCH AND STRAIGHT INTO THE COFFEE INDUSTRY! ☕️😭😂

And let me tell you something… being a CONSUMER of something and actually RUNNING the business are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS!

I knew how to order coffee. I knew how to drink coffee. I knew what I liked in a coffee shop. But did I know what went on behind the counter, behind the books, or behind the scenes? ABSOLUTELY NOT! 🤣

I jumped into an industry I had only experienced from the CUSTOMER’S SIDE, and I didn’t start learning the INSIDE until I was already IN IT!

No coffee shop experience. No industry background. Just a whole lot of ambition, determination, and apparently the AUDACITY to believe I could figure it out along the way! 😂

And BABY… has this industry been giving me an EDUCATION! Tuition ain’t cheap either! 💸😭

In Episode 7, I’m admitting just how much I DIDN’T KNOW when I decided to purchase a coffee shop and what it’s been like learning an entirely new industry while already being responsible for running a business.

Sometimes you don’t know how deep the water is until you’ve already jumped in! And apparently, I decided to jump in with my purse, my shoes, and absolutely NO LIFE JACKET! 😂
