A World of Flavors. One Table.
We've taken the decision to travel beyond ramen night. Great food is always about discovery. We're introducing a rotating series of menus inspired by the world's great (and maybe just ok) culinary regions and cultures. Every few weeks, we'll explore a new destination, bringing its ingredients and iconic dishes to life. Some dishes will be very traditional and others our interpretations. Additionally, you know we're going to have great w**e and cocktails to match!
First stop; Italy 🇮🇹. Why Italy one might ask. Why indeed. As you likely do not know I grew up in an Italian-American family. Food was the center of just about everything. My grandfather, Sabatino, came from Celano, a small town in Abruzzo, Italy, and eventually made his home here in Rochester. Like so many immigrant families, the food and traditions that came with him became part of the way our family gathered, celebrated, and stayed connected. Those experiences had a lot to do with why I chose a career in hospitality.
We're excited to share this journey with you. And it begins tonight.

Below is the Ellis Island manifest of the SS Conte Verde traveling from Napoli in April 1924. Passenger 11 is my grandfather; Sabatino Quadrato, and passenger 12 is his wife Luigia. She is not my grandmother. But that is a story for another email.
