A big thank you to the Electric Workers at City of Robertsdale for getting us back up!
Sunday Storm Update ⛈️
Yesterday afternoon’s severe storms brought strong winds and significant damage across Robertsdale, resulting in widespread power outages and downed trees. Crews began responding around 2:30 p.m., working tirelessly throughout the afternoon and evening to restore power and clear debris. Approximately 1,000 electric customers were impacted, with all outages restored by 9:30 p.m. The storms also caused four broken power poles and numerous trees to fall onto power lines.
We want to extend our sincere appreciation to Public Works Director Scott Gilbert, Electrical Foreman Scott Bankester, Streets & Parks Foreman Terry Simpson, and every member of our Electric, Public Works, Streets & Parks, and support crews, including our Police Department. Their dedication and long hours ensured that services were restored as quickly and safely as possible.
While power has been restored, our crews are still working today to complete cleanup and address remaining storm-related issues throughout the city.
If you are experiencing any storm-related concerns, such as downed limbs, damaged utility equipment, or other issues, please contact Scott Bankester, 251-979-5551, so our crews can respond.
