Did you know that?

Germans celebrate Christmas for three days.

It starts on Christmas Eve, Heiligabend, which is the main event. The tree is lit, the presents are opened, and families go to church in the evening.

Then comes the First Christmas Day on December 25th, usually a big family dinner with goose or duck, red cabbage and dumplings.

And then there is a Second Christmas Day on December 26th, also a public holiday. Shops stay closed, nobody works, and families often spend it visiting the other side of the family, or simply finishing the leftovers and going for a long walk.

Would you like a second Christmas Day off?
