Tomorrow is Rising Sun Rising Sun SunFest, and it looks like we're going to have a beautiful day for one of our community's favorite traditions.

While SunFest is organized and hosted by our Chamber of Commerce, it takes months of planning and the dedication of countless volunteers and Chamber Board members to bring this event to life each year. Their hard work helps showcase our community and create a great day for residents and visitors alike.

If you see a volunteer tomorrow, please take a moment to thank them. Events like SunFest simply wouldn't happen without their commitment and service.

We’re so excited to welcome 📚📓📖 Fern & Fable Book Co. to The Farmhouse Boutique, at 2 E. Main Street in Rising Sun, MD! 📚✨

Sisters Jessica & Kristin are opening their beautiful new bookstore above Garden Girl, and we couldn’t be happier to have them as a part of our growing group of women ~ working together to create something really special downtown. 💕

📚 They have been working so hard to transform this space into their dream shop, we can’t wait for you to see what’s in store! ☕🌿📖

Join them this Sunday 5/24 from 9am - 5pm for their opening day. Then visit them every Wednesday - Sunday from 9am - 5pm, moving forward.

Guys! Super Big News for Us!

For a while, our in-house coffee roasting guru - Our Son, was printing labels & placing them on plain coffee bags - one by one - for you.

Through many late nights and early mornings he’s taught himself the software to design these custom coffee bags, completely on his own. No shortcuts. No handouts. Just long hours, a lot of determination, creativity and the willingness to keep learning!

NOW…. The new bags have been sent to print & manufactured professionally. AND they are here!! Wow!!! 🤩 Come grab a bag or two this weekend!

It may seem like a small change for some, but for us it’s huge! It represents a lot of hard work, growth, AND support from this community. Every coffee/latte ordered from RNG, every bag purchased, every new wholesale account, every share, every “like” and every person who supports our small businesses help make growth like this possible. We are so grateful for you! 💕

I believe our young owner of is inspiring future Up & Coming entrepreneurs to go after their dreams! It really can happen guys - you just have to chase it!

This is our Abby.

For years, she’s shown up — not just for work, but for people. For our staff, customers and my family. 🥹

She’s one we lean on, we trust, and we feel safe with. Abby is a friend who quickly became part of our everyday life. Before we even realized it, we found ourselves looking around for Abby to brighten our day with a silly joke, a silly noise, or her compassionate and caring eyes.

What makes Abby extra special is that underneath her strength is the softest kindest soul. The girl who once avoided hugs is now the first one offering them when someone she trusts needs one. Watching her grow, open up, love deeply, and let us truly get to know the real her has been such a gift that hasn’t been wasted on any of us.

She’s become best friends with my daughters, part of our bonfires, beach trips and church memories. When it came to opening our Elkton location Abby put in countless hours to make sure we did not fail. She is part of us now, and we aren’t ever fully letting go - even if today is her last day at RNG. 😫

I love this girl so much. I love everything about her, even Crabby Abby - who shows up when she hasn’t gotten the sleep that she needs.

While I’m so proud of her and excited for what’s ahead, I already know how deeply I’m going to miss my daily dose of Abby.

Sweetheart, Please remember to visit! And know that if your new co-workers don’t appreciate your dance moves like we do - we’ll take you back in a heartbeat. 💛
