As it always does, word travels fast in a small town…and so do Mobile Partrol screenshots.
A few weeks back, Bubba was shopping at Walmart in Ripley for a few things the store needed; of which, cucumbers was one them. Like he always does - Bubba got to self checkout, scanned what items he could but the cucumbers didn’t have a sticker. You know the drill…”item look up, select a picture, choose an item….”
That’s where this story gets a little hairy. After checking out, Bubba gets stopped by office employees when he is leaving and is taken to the back where he is told he selected the wrong cucumber option in the system. You read that right. The wrong cucumber. Dang it, Bubba! He offered to pay the difference ($4.12 🤪) and DID pay it but that didn’t fix the situation.
So…that’s it folks. Your newest local convict didn’t steal cucumbers…he just picked the wrong one.
Moral of this story: When using self-checkout and needing to look up an item… have an associate do it for you.
Second moral of this story: Come eat Chisholm Lake this weekend. We have some real expensive (aka attorney fee) cucumbers on the salad bar AND oysters on tonight’s menu.
