I woke up this morning determined to clean Addison’s room. You know, get everything just right for when she comes home from college—fresh sheets, clean comforter, everything neat and ready to go.

Well… none of that happened.

Instead, I walked into the pantry and saw an empty Hot Fries bag that I had asked her to throw away a week ago. And for reasons I still can’t explain, that little empty chip bag absolutely sent me over the edge.

Next thing I knew, I was back in bed at 9 a.m. and didn’t get out until 4 p.m. I watched two seasons of The Gilded Age, ate what felt like approximately 75 Snickers minis, and had myself a full-blown mama meltdown.

Then Jack called and asked if I was okay. The answer was immediate tears and a very dramatic explanation involving the Hot Fries bag, the Snickers, and my complete inability to function on a Monday.

So he took me to dinner, gave me wine, and reminded me of something I already knew: Addison is doing great. She’s exactly where she’s supposed to be, having the time of her life.

But this mama heart? It’s having a much harder time adjusting.

And before anyone asks… yes, I went upstairs, laid in her bed, and smelled her sheets.

Was it a little weird? Maybe.

Did I love every second of it? Absolutely.

Nobody prepares you for the quiet after your child leaves home. ❤️

We got Addison settled in and ready for her next adventure at Ole Miss! Leaving a piece of our heart behind wasn’t easy, but Jack and I are so excited to watch her grow, chase her dreams, and soar in all the amazing things ahead. We couldn’t be prouder of the young woman she has become.

🌟 We had the sweetest time celebrating Baker’s 4th birthday with Elsa, Anna, and Olaf at CW Organics Apothicarie & Tea Room! ❄️👑

The girls had so much fun spending time with Elsa and Anna, enjoying makeovers, laughter, and a tea party fit for Arendelle. Their menu included cucumber tea sandwiches, chocolate croissants, macarons, and fresh fruit.

To drink, they sipped on our Lemon Lavender cold tea and magical hot Butterfly Pea Flower blue tea—just the way Elsa wanted it! 💙🫖
