One of our neighbors and friends here at Chez Max has fallen on hard times. If you have ever been to Rare Ol' Times you probably have seen Gibby. He is a character...oh wait that was supposed to be he has character and is a stand up guy. He's been there for those who have been in need and now it's our turn to do for him what he has done for others.

Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Valentine's Day 2024 is in the books. Thanks to everyone who came out tonight to support such a great cause, Power Over Parkinsons!!!

With the final tally done I am pleased to announce that we raised $5,000 for this great foundation.

I commend my staff for a job well done. I thank the community that continues to support Chez Max. I am blessed to have such wonderful friends, patrons and staff.

Last year for Valentine's Day we did a fundraiser for our chef and his wife who both had cancer. It was a HUGE success and the community supported our efforts without hesitation.

It got me thinking about how I could best support the community that supports Chez Max aside from the gift certificates I give out every year.

Moving forward we are going to do a prix fixe menu on Valentine's Day with the proceeds going to a local charity.

This year our charity is Power over Parkinson's (https://www.poweroverpd.org/). You can read up on this charity via the link provided.

Copied is our menu offering for the evening. The cost per person will be $125 inclusive of tax and gratuity. As mentioned, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the charity. We will be limiting the dining time for reservations to 1 1/2 hours so that we can maximize the number of guests and generate as much as we can for this worthwhile charity.

Reservations will only be taken via phone (804-754-3464) or email ([email protected]) and hours will be 5:00 PM through 8:30 PM on the half hour.

We hope you will support our efforts to help battle this horrible condition.

· Spinach with fresh strawberries, walnuts and goat cheese served with a balsamic vinaigrette
· Traditional lobster bisque finished with a splash of cognac

Deuxième cours (select one)
· Surf & Turf: 4-ounce lobster tail & 4-ounce filet mignon served with bearnaise sauce and fondant potatoes
· Beef tenderloin oscar style with hollandaise sauce and asparagus spears
· Rosemary oil rubbed lamb chops and jumbo shrimp served with demi-glace over polenta
· Sole filets served with almondine sauce and fondant potatoes
· Vegan Surf & Turf: marinated grilled portobello mushroom steak & vegan crab cake served with asparagus (pre-order with reservation)

· Tarte vielle france – apple & peach tart with frangipane and short crust pastry
