This time of year, the menu changes fast, and for good reason. 😎

Local farms keep bringing in incredible ingredients: heirloom tomatoes, summer squash, sweet corn, figs, late-summer beans, and Jimmy Nardello peppers. 🌶️

Our kitchen team is constantly tasting, tweaking, and building new dishes around what’s coming through our doors. This week, that includes the Atlantic Swordfish with young fennel and sherry-braised petit onions, and our Point Judith Sea Scallops with smoked eggplant and fresh corn polenta.

Happy 4 year work anniversary to our talented Sous Chef Mike Bartley. 🌟

“Mike is the kind of sous chef I can always count on. He stays calm under pressure, keeps the team together when things get hectic, and leads by setting a high standard for everyone around him. His consistency, leadership, and ability to stay composed make him an invaluable part of our kitchen, and I’m grateful to have him on the team.” ~ Chef Varga

We appreciate all you bring to the team Mike! 🙌 Drop a comment or a 🌟 to share in the gratitude.

We asked Chef, what are you most excited about coming through the door from local farms this season?

There are so many amazing farms in Rhode Island and neighboring states that we have the opportunity to work with. Schartner Farms is a special one for Chef because he was married there. ❤️

Follow along as we share a few more of our favorite farms this season. 👩🏻‍🌾 What local ingredients do you look forward to most this time of year?

What a wonderful day yesterday on our local, private Culinary Bliss tour for an amazing group of friends. ☀️ It was a full summer adventure that began with breakfast at Ellie's, a tour at Moonrose Farm, a tour and lunch at Portugalia Marketplace, a tour and tasting at Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery and dinner here at GraciesProv.

We cannot say than you enough for the incredible hospitality from Melissa at Moonrose, Colleen and Andre at Portugalia, and Josh and Madeline at Westport Rivers. Our guests had an amazing time, the food and wine was spectacular, and we all learned so much along the way.

Next stop for Culinary Bliss... Cape Code & Provincetown in September! 🚙

What makes a dinner different the moment you sit down? 🍽️

Often, it’s the things you don’t see. 👀

It takes patience. Knowing when to let an ingredient speak for itself and when it needs something more. Paying attention to the smallest details. ✨

Tasting, adjusting, communicating, and trusting the people working beside you. 👌

It’s all part of what makes slow dining feel different. You get to settle in, take your time, and experience a dish that’s been considered from the first ingredient to the final plate. 🌱

And the story doesn’t end when the dish reaches your table. Maybe it’s the wine your sommelier pairs with it, or something your server shares that makes you experience it a little differently. 🍷

That’s when dinner becomes more than what’s on the plate. ❤️
