10 vanilla cupcakes (the wrapper is a little messsed up on them, but they still taste the exact same!!) = $13

not only is it happy mother’s day, but also happy birthday to my angel elijah james🧡

i made this cake for my birthday get together a couple weekends ago but i’m just getting around to sharing. birthdays are always SO hard for me because so many people are missing. i made this cake to honor my grief and to honor the two people that mean the world to me that didn’t make it to today. first, my nana who loved butterflies. second, eli who’s favorite color was orange. i decided to combine these two into my birthday cake so i felt their presence there in whatever way that may be. by honoring them in the best way i knew how, the absence seemed a little less that day.

hold your loved ones close and tell them you love them, take advantage of the time spent with them! tell the stories and your memories of those you have lost.

while i wish they were here with me, i know they are so so proud of where i am and who i’m becoming. i know eli is having a blast today and i know nana is enjoying her mother’s day🧡🦋
