Farmer's Market Kickoff week continues with the TODAY, Sunday June 7, from 10am-1pm!✨

Market report includes:

🍓Strawberries, from vendors like Love Joy Farms and Aichele Farms! We used our latest batch for a fresh strawberry matcha special🍵(photo for attention!)
🍒Cherries, from farmers like Sylvia at Albertine's Orchards (we picked up a pound or two earlier this week from that we're using in next week's cream buns✨
🫛Sweet snap peas, from farms like Bautista Farms, which I'm just eating by the handful😆
🍑If you're lucky, maybe even some apricots! We got lucky with some seconds from on Friday; while they aren't at the Sunday market, you never know what gems you may find while you're there🌿

Be sure to pick up a 🥖or two and of course a 🥐 to go with all that fresh spring produce!

We're are so thrilled to announce the launch of our collaborative Grainbow Shortbread Cookie product with Grain Queen Bakehouse!

Sarah and I met via the socials back in 2021 or so, and we got to meet up in person en route to a leadership retreat in Joseph, OR, in 2022 (when Sarah gifted us a pack of her quintessential grainbow shortbreads! Scroll to the last slide for photo evidence...). Our friendship has been so sustaining both to me as a baker & owner, and me as a person. I'm also super grateful for this collaboration project, which helped breathe new life into Ethos last year during a time when I felt especially lost and unsure.

Grainbow Shortbread cookies are a project that's been years in the making, and accelerated in the last year thanks to a grant from the NW & Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center.

Please join us on Sunday, May 24, from 1-3 pm for a product launch party at Ethos on Keene - free samples and stickers! Meet our grain farmers and , and chat with founder Sarah and Ethos founder Angela (me!).

Hard to believe it's been TWO YEARS since we reopened here at Ethos on Keene. ❤️Feels like so much has changed, and also, much has stayed the same. We're the same reliably welcoming, delicious, and friendly neighborhood bakery where you can find your favorite treats, meet up with friends and family, watch the bakers and millers at work through the windows, and catch an early sunrise view of Badger Mountain. ⛰️

Thank you for welcoming us back into this neighborhood, and also keeping our Parkway cafe steadily humming along while we've re-expanded into the South Richland region. ✨We're so looking forward to the summer season: markets start up in just a few weeks, berry season kicks off this weekend, and events are starting to fill up the calendar. We're grateful to get to be part of the rhythm and routines of so many of you, and you all in turn make up OUR own day to day cadence of mixing, shaping, baking, steaming, toasting, and serving. 💫

Two years on Keene also marks two years of our Grainbow Club! 🌾🌈In the months since we launched our Grainbow Club, we've welcomed nearly 80 members, who have collectively saved over $6,000 just in the 10% discount portion of the membership, and thousands more in monthly bread and flour. 💫

Some of our OG members have asked if we're keeping the deal the same this year: yes, we've decided to keep our terms the same. We can't say it will always stay that way in future years as costs continue to increase, but for now, we want to keep the savings going. Strawberry season is here! We're picking up our first load of berries on Friday from and plan to have all kinds of strawberry goodness all weekend long: shortcakes, maritozzi, strawberries n cream croissants, oh my! We're thinking about a strawberry cream cheese for weekend bagels, too...we'll have all these treats and more starting Saturday some come on out and enjoy the long weekend with us! 🍓💫
