Well here goes it … I never post my thoughts… but I am today to express my deep frustration…
We received a letter in the mail today from the Reynoldsville Code Enforcement with a new Ordinance “a mechanical device ordinance”
I call this a “BULL-SH*T” Ordinance!
This is a direct attack on small businesses in Reynoldsville for a quick easy buck! This is definitely the wrong approach to implement yet another tax and or fee on small businesses to generate income for the borough. Let me remind Reynoldsville Council that small businesses are the backbone of small towns!! The heart ❤️ & Soul of communities!
It’s hard enough for small businesses in this dying town to stay afloat. We already face numerous challenges these days with:
-Big time inflation
-Supply chain & its disruptions
-High taxes, property taxes you just raised!
Being taxed to death!
I understand the importance of generating revenue for the Borough ensuring our town is properly being taken care!!
But is it??
Oh let’s send out letters and charge them for there machines!!! Easy money for the borough, well here’s a thought, how about taxing the people that win the $$$$ too! More easy $$!
Councilmen and women, you chose and were voted on to do this job to make Reynoldville great again, how about doing it instead of pushing more businesses out!!
I’m sure I will get slammed by people with this post but I really don’t care!!
Oh and you can stick your $700.00 you will get from Mancuso’s…the machines are gone!
