Ever had real Italian meatballs? Featured in our meatball sandwich, our meatballs are hand made, pan seared, and slow cooked in our spaghetti sauce for several hours... patience is the key! In the mood for a little twist for your pizza? Try one of our less traditional Specialty Pizzas, like the Chicken-Bacon-Ranch Pizza, or our own invention, the Bacon Tortizza. For lunch, or anytime, our subs are done "hoagie-style". What's the difference, you ask? Better bread & more good stuff inside! Standard hoagies usually come with lettuce, tomato, onion and oregano, but you can customize however you like. And don't forget, the next time you want to make your next business meeting, party, or any type of gathering that much more special -we cater!

Goodbye Reedburg! Yes, after a 2 year run, we've closed the doors on Babe's. The recent loss to our family is the reason: With the loss of 1/3 of the input to our businesses, Babe's went into the red, and we just can't see our volume -which had consistently been growing since opening day- growing quickly enough to save the restaurant. I did say, "businesses". As you might know, our family has leased aquariums in homes and businesses, from Tomah to Madison since 1991, including 12 here in town. So if you see one or both of us cleaning a tank somewhere be sure to say hi! We will miss the people we've gotten to know over the last two years. It has truly been one of the great pleasures in our lives getting to know and serve you. We wish you all the best in food and in life! ~David & Jason

Thanks folks, for the warm "welcome back" yesterday! A heads up: We're probably going with thin crust pizza only for the next couple of weeks or so until we introduce a new hand tossed crust. If you haven't tried it, do! It's the original and all of our family members prefer it.

Babe's will remain closed until, most likely sometime around August 27. My wife of 25 years and best friend of 40 years, Jason and Joshua's mother, Wendy died suddenly this past Friday night. There will be a memorial service at our home at N1928 Kennedy Rd, Mauston this Thursday at 11 AM. Pastor Terry McGinley will preside. Visitation will begin at 10 AM.

This week at Babe's: Last week was add fries for a buck, this week add chips (Frito Lay) and a 12 oz soda (Coke products) to any 1/2 or whole sandwich, any whole pizza OR SLICE for a buck.
-In memory of Gary Tyler, who recently passed in an auto accident: His most frequent order was 2 Hot Ham & Cheese sandwiches. This week they're 2 for $5. While we didn't get to know you all that well, Gary, we always enjoyed and will miss your smiling face at our drive-thru window.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Starting next week (Aug 3) we'll be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. That says it. If you want to know why, read on.
We've learned over the last -whoa, nearly 2 years already - that we do better without employees, While we've had some great help along the way, employees just aren't going to consistently do as well as family members/owners. Add to it that our menu is pretty complex for a little pizza & sub joint, and we're more comfortable & confident in our product when it's just us. But we need to be closed 2 days just to keep up with cleaning, inventory, prep, bookwork, and maybe someday some R&R ;)
Oh, one more thing - it's looking like some BIG menu changes could be coming in the 2nd half of august, that well, we think you're really going to like - stay tuned!
