As we celebrate our Hispanic Heritage Month. We will be giving you some fun facts about different Bolivian and Dominican figures that contributed to our culture.
Do you remember this movie from 1988? If you never seen it, it’s a must! One of my favorite movies of all time.
It’s based on a true story about a Bolivian-American teacher named Jaime Escalante, he taught at Garfield High School in LA.
In 1982, he successfully prepared a group of predominantly Latino students to pass the Advanced Placement Calculus exam. When testing authorities accused the students of cheating because of identical errors, the students retook the exam and passed again to prove their capability.
