It is with mixed emotions that we post to our most loyal customers and friends. Since 2011 we were the stewards of the Community Deli (Gro). It was not a task we ever took lightly. The Deli/Grocery is a landmark in the Oberlin Village District, and it was with great honor we have served this community for the last eleven years. While some things changed over the course of our time at the Deli, we felt these changes were for the better. We have always been committed to the best customer service and food available on Oberlin Road. We were blessed by our neighbors and customers during the pandemic and were able to remain open the entire time thanks to the many wonderful customers who continued to patronize our business.
The end of November ends the stewardship of Crystal Bish, the owner/operator of The Community Deli. We do not know what the future holds for Crystal or for the cute corner store on Oberlin Road, but we know that both will find their way and continue to serve the communities they support and love. Crystal will be in the Deli Monday through Wednesday of this week and we ask if you get the opportunity to stop by and say goodbye, please do. While you are there, there are plenty of collard greens and soups that freeze well to carry you into 2023.
We can never thank you enough for the support and love that you have brought to our lives through the Deli. We have seen small children grow up, graduate high school, and move on to college. We have lost good friends to time that continues to march ahead. But the connections we have made through the Deli have enriched our lives, made us better people, and will continue to guide our way into the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We can never say it enough. We love you and we will miss you. We may change the name of the Community Deli page but keep following us because you never know where Crystal may popup next. Take care and stay safe and the happiest of holidays to you all far and wide!
