After almost six unforgettable years, we have made the difficult decision to close Berto’s Chimis. We’ll be slinging Chimis one last time on Friday, October 16th 5pm-9pm.
On January 1, 2021, we took a chance and fulfilled our dream of opening up a business.
What started as a dream became something much bigger than I ever imagined. We had the opportunity to introduce Chimis to the Triangle, meet thousands of amazing people, build friendships, and create memories that my family and I will carry with us forever.
We wanted to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation.

For almost six years, I got to live my dream, serve this community, and bring a taste of my home, Dominican Republic, to the Triangle. That is something I will never forget. I will forever be proud of what we accomplished.
