As I sit here reflecting on life and all the changes our business and state is going through all the things that a small business has to endure to be successful in these trying times. In my time ice cream has always been a happy concept for people to enjoy. one of life’s simplest pleasures which is a cold treat on a hot summer day. We work really hard long days and hours while operating in a very challenging time. I have noticed the constant abuse we have to endure day to day from people that sometimes are having bad day and we end up being the very people that they take their anger out on. For one ice cream is a happy treat, it is a treat that is customized to your own request and need , it is a treat that takes time to be prepared properly and pleasing to your eye and taste Daily we operate to do that for you. Daily young people that are perhaps new , training,are trying to learn how to be self sufficient are working at most ice cream shops. Managers and owners work hard to make sure all the products and equipment are properly operating and ready to provide you with your cool treat. But lately I don’t know if the times or the stress that a lot of us are under. We are getting yelled at and thrown things at and cursed at and called names that you wouldn’t call a person.. We don’t make the rules about spoons, condiments, plastic bags, expensive items that we must pass cost along, payroll, taxes, city taxes and water etc etc. we simply show up every day to prepare your treats, sometimes we sit and talk to you about life, your day the weather, the traffic so forth and so on. We are not robots that operate at fast forward speeds we are humans doing a job to accommodate your request. We are not the people you should curse and throw things at.. We have families, children, grandchildren just like you. We just want you to be happy and enjoy your treats and perhaps give us a simple smile, a simple Thank You! Just like we are thankful for you and your patronage over the 75 years We want you to be appreciative of us..We want to be here for another 75 years WE are thankful for all of you! Thank you for seeing us!🍦and to those that don’t please do!
