I didn’t think I would be posting this so quickly; although I have had L and R Cafe for sale for a few months. The right deal just didn’t come together until last week! I think we have the wrinkles worked out and come Monday, I will not have to get up at 2am to go to work!! INSTEAD; Ibis Ortiz will be the one who will be getting up. Lol
YES; I plan to step back from the cafe; hand the spatula to someone else! Ibis will do a great job. She comes with a lot of restaurant experience and is a great cook! You may all know her from the Idle Hour
She plans to be open on Monday thru Friday from 6 or 7 am until 2 or 3 pm. Great for the drive thru when you didn’t make it in before 1; now you can still grab one of our great burgers!
Sarah will still be there for a bit! She will be helping train new waitstaff !
I hope you all will still support L and R Cafe. There are no plans to change the menu items. It has had pretty much the same menu for about 40 years and that is what it is known for.
I have gotten to meet so many wonderful people in the last 27 years. I appreciate and love each and everyone of you! Thank you , thank you , thank you, for all of your support!!!
I have enjoyed watching so many people grow up! The Beaumont boys, Wallace boys, Kehls, Downs, Boormans, and many of the kids in my son’s grade! ( too many to name) you are all grown with kids of your own now! So crazy to me that your parents used to bring you in and put you in the high chair and now you are bringing your kids in and putting them in the same high chair ! I love you all!!
I have enjoyed the Crescent bar folks, Sunlanders and and all of the data center people. I sure hope you will continue to support L and R Cafe. I would like to come have breakfast with you sometime so I can actually sit down and chat!
To all of the Fire Dept, Police Dept and EMS crews. Please keep coming in and if I see you at the coffee shop I still hope to buy your drinks!! I will always support you!!
To the little groups of lunch ladies…… LDS ladies and the Wackie Widows. You are all so very special. Some of you I have known since I was around 16 or 17 yrs old. I know how old that makes you but I’m not telling ……… cuz I know I’m catching up to you. Ha ha ha!!!
To all of the wonderful employees I have had over the years. WOW…… several of you are parents now. You have beautiful families and have become amazing leaders or have gone on to awesome careers!!! I’m super proud of you!!
I’m hoping to do some traveling soon. I plan on camping with my horse friends this summer and hopefully even get to see some of my family. I might even get to attend some graduation parties, weddings and life celebrations. Won’t that be a great. 😊
I’ll be working on the farm for a big part of the summer but plan to pimp myself out to help people who are elderly or if someone needs some respite care. I can also do temporary work if someone needs houses cleaned out or garage organized or get things ready for yard sale. I can do office work; farm work; yard work; just hit me up if you need help of any kind. I will do it if I don’t have anything already going on!!
I am excited and a bit nervous but everything will work out according to Gods greater plan.
I can’t wait to spend some time with family and friends !!!
