If you’ve never tried a French Coffee, here’s the story behind it:

But what exactly is Cognac?

Cognac is a French brandy, made exclusively in the Cognac region of France, using carefully selected grapes and aged in oak barrels. It’s one of France’s most famous spirits and is enjoyed all around the world — especially here in the 🇺🇸 United States, where Cognac has a huge cultural history and remains one of the world’s biggest Cognac markets.

And here’s a little personal connection…

As you know the new owner is French, and comes from a town just next to Cognac! 🇫🇷

So when you order a French Coffee at The Bistro, you’re getting a little taste of where we comes from — literally. 😉

Une histoire de crème brûlée 🇫🇷
“A crème brûlée story” 😍

You know that “crème brûlée” literally means “burned cream”? 🔥🍮

And there’s a little story behind this iconic French dessert…

The exact origins are debated, but versions of this caramelized custard appeared in Europe centuries ago. In France, it became a true classic of the country’s cuisine — especially in the traditional Parisian bistros.
